Spirulina is a 100% natural and a highly nutritious micro salt water plant. This spiralshaped algae is a great source of food. Since the 1970's, Spirulina has been well known and widely used as a dietary supplement in many countries of the world. Spirulina is considered the most nutrient-dense food on the planet.

Spirulina is a superfood, plant source of high amount of protein, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. Its benefits include fighting anemia, good for blood, heart, longevity and more!

Health Benefits of Spirulina

Spirulina is a nutrition powerhouse which contains a wide range of essential vitamins and minerals including vitamins B-1(thiamine), B-2 (riboflavin), B-3 (nicotinamide), B-6 (pyridoxine), B-9 (folic acid), vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin A and vitamin E; iron, potassium, chromium, copper, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium e.t.c. that the body needs to function generally and at its best.

Spirulina contains rich vegetable protein (3-4 times higher than fish or beef). Your body uses protein to build and repair tissues. The body also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

Spirulina is an excellent source of antioxidants like beta-carotene (5 times more than carrots, 40 times more than spinach) and other carotenoids which are known to increase life span. Spirulina contains the antioxidant Zeaxanthin, the most important antioxidant for vision

Spirulina has high volume of gamma-Linolein acid, which can decrease bad cholesterol (LDL) and prevent fatty arterial plaque that causes heart disease, while increasing good cholesterol (HDL) that promotes good health.

Furthermore, Spirulina contains Phycocyanin which can only be found in Spirulina. Phycocyanin has the ability to trigger the production of stem cells. Stem cells are capable of indefinitely giving rise to more cells of the same type, and from which certain other kinds of cells are produced by. Need more blood cells – that carry oxygen throughout the body? More white blood cells - of the immune system to defend body against diseases and infections? More muscle cells? More bone cells? More cells to repair damaged ligaments? Nerve cells? Skin cells? Sex cells? If your body is producing more stem cells, then your body have the continuous possibility of being rebuilt.

Anything Else? Spirulina contains notable amount of zinc and zinc is beneficial for treatments for chronic arsenic poisoning. Spirulina has recorded effects of helping to "detoxify" and flush out heavy metal arsenic from the body. This is a medical breakthrough since drinking water, tap and some bottled, as we know contain high amount of chemical toxins (perfluorochemicals). Some similar arsenic toxins are used to make cookware and food packaging that get in our body. Drinking water toxins and consuming other arsenic toxins have been linked to serious health threats ranging from cancer of the bladder, lungs, skin, kidney, liver, brain, prostate and fertility issues and more. A study on “Efficacy of Sprirulina Exract Plus Zinc in Patients of Chronic Arsenic Poisoning; a Randomized Placebo-Controled Study” suggests that Spirulina and zinc are beneficial treatments for chronic arsenic poisoning. And that the treatment is considered safe. For this study Spirulina extract was used along with Zinc, the spirulina dose was 250 mg and zinc was 2 mg twice a day for 16 weeks.
